LTBS has been broadcasting on the Nepalese airwaves since 2007. Nepalis saved as a result of hearing the Word preached, have helped form ten of the congregations in the Free Presbyterian Church of Nepal.
However, with increasing opposition to the Gospel across Nepal, many in the land are desirous that churches are closed. Government restrictions mean Gospel-outreach opportunities are severely limited. Radio broadcasts are allowing us to continue to spread the Gospel with 20 stations presently airing LTBS programmes.
In the large Kathmandhu valley some 5 million people live with five congregations located in this densely populated region. After much prayerful consideration the LTBS committee has decided to assist Nepal FPC develop a radio station dedicated to an evangelising and teaching ministry, covering the entire valley area. Initial outlay costs have been assessed and a target of £30,000 has been set. We encourage you to give prayerful and practical support to this project.
May we together seek the extension of the Lord's kingdom in obedience to our Saviour's command: 'Go...and teach all nations...' Matt. 28:19.
